PRDA (Pictou Regional Development Agency):
The PRDA was formed in 1991 by the six municipal governments of Pictou County. The original challenge for the PRDA was to be a catalyst for growth by supporting the existing business community and seeking out new investment from businesses outside the region. Today, the organization has evolved into a four way partnership of community volunteers, municipal governments, the provincial government and the federal government with a mandate for regional community economic development.

Pictou County Chamber of Commerce:
The regional Chamber of Commerce was established in 1983 and is an integral part of the Pictou County community, with strong connections to all levels of government, the educational system and other community organizations. The Chamber speaks as a united voice on behalf of the business community, using the strength of its membership to positively impact issues facing business and the community at large. The Chamber is a leading business advocacy group, keeping members connected with the provincial and federal legislation that affects them.

PCTA (Pictou County Tourist Association):
The association was established by the local tourism industry in 1977 and continues to be a membership driven, coordinating organization dedicated to the growth of the tourism industry in Pictou County. We partner with many municipalities, organizations and businesses to market Pictou County as a premiere tourism destination within Nova Scotia. Members of the Pictou County Tourist Association receive many benefits and opportunities; including marketing and promotion, advocacy, product development, communications, visitor information services, value-added benefits, and much more.

NOBL (Northern Opportunities for Business Limited):
NOBL is one of over 40 Community Business Development Corporations (CBDC) operating in Atlantic Canada. Ongoing activity includes promoting, encouraging, and assisting economic growth in Northeastern Nova Scotia.  NOBL provides business counseling and funding in order to stimulate small business growth and employment. NOBL also offers income support and equity participation programs. NOBL is for anyone interested in getting a business up and running, or growing or modernizing an existing business.

NSBI is the business development agency for the province of Nova Scotia, providing services that help Nova Scotia companies grow and stay competitive in the global marketplace.
